From structural welding to industrial welding, Ometek offers the best welding services to suit your needs.

MIG Welding

MIG Welding is one of the most effective ways to weld thick materials together. MIG stands for Metal Inert Gas and is a type of welding that uses filler material to fuse metals together. Also known as Gas Metal Arc Welding (or GMAW), this technique quickly forms an accurate bond between a variety of materials. It’s important that you find an experienced fabricator to do any MIG welding needed, as each metal requires a different proportion of filler material and shielding gases. At Ometek, our professional fabricators can complete even the most challenging welds and products to suit your needs.

TIG Welding

TIG Welding is a reliable and precise way to connect thinner materials and parts. TIG Welding, which stands for Tungsten Inert Gas Welding, uses an electrical arc created by a tungsten electrode to heat metal pieces. Once their edges have melted, the welder either places filler metal between the heated pieces or fuses them together. Also known as GTAW, or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, this method does not exclusively require filler metal, which can help save on material costs. However, it is slower, which can sometimes increase the cost of machine time usage. TIG Welding is a perfect technique for thinner metals, parts, and decorations.

Determining the type of welding to use on a project can be difficult. Fortunately, Ometek can help. Our experienced team of technicians and fabricators can help you decide which method will be most effective for your project. We work with you to go over your exact project requirements such as material, finishing, and timing to decide exactly what welding technique is best.

At Ometek, we offer the most effective welding services and metal fabrication to Columbus and Central Ohio and the Midwest. Our professional welders can complete any project you need, from the most delicate aluminum welds to the heaviest steel pieces. No matter the job, we have the MIG and TIG welders to get it done.
